Murcielago is an elite cattle breeding operation specializing in genetically superior Black Angus cattle.  Our cattle are sold nationally to other top cattle breeders and to commercial beef cattle operations to improve the genetics in their own herds.  Murcielago invests in state of the art embryo transfer and artificial insemination (A.I.) technology to produce the healthiest and most productive Black Angus cattle in the world. Our entire breeding herd is registered with the American Angus Association insuring verifiable pedigree. With millions of dollars invested in our herd and hundreds of thousands of dollars invested in just a single donor cow, Murcielago demands the highest quality of care for its animals. We raise all of our cattle naturally on our farms according to a strict sustainability program designed to protect our environmental resources.

With more than 6,000 acres in operation, Murcielago provides ample grazing area for the humane treatment of its animals avoiding both environmental issues from overgrazing and animal health issues from overcrowding. All of our cattle are forage fed and supplemented with home grown corn and all natural vitamins and minerals ensuring the safety and healthiness of cattle. All of our cattle are regularly checked by independent veterinarians and birth, growth and carcass ultrasound statistics are tracked by the AAA and are publicly available. No growth hormones are administered to our cattle and no chemical pesticides are used in our pastures and hay fields.

Our principal business is to breed elite Angus cattle for use by the beef industry in their herds to improve industry food safety and productivity. Murcielago also offers breeders an opportunity to leverage their herds by using our recipient cow herd for embryo transfer and development. We do offer our clients an opportunity to acquire source verifiable natural beef products (Murcielago Beef) from our herd.
